Dr. Elise Brandwajn, D.V.M.

Dr. Brandwajn obtained her B.S. in Biology/Pre-Vet medicine with honors from UCSC in 1996, and is a 2002 graduate of UC Davis Veterinary School. She graduated with Phi Zeta honors (veterinary honor society) and was in the top 10 % of her class. She was also awarded the "America's Top Veterinarians" honor in 2006, which is an award given to the top 7% of the vets across the nation.  Prior to purchasing Frontier Pet Clinic, she worked at 2 large multi-doctor practices focusing on internal medicine, oncology, ultrasound, and emergency/critical care. Dr. Brandwajn prides herself on providing extremely thorough internal medicine workups, and does not "cut corners" when it comes to her patients' health.

She and her family currently live in Woodland with her 2 year old son, Nicolas. When not at the clinic (which does not leave much time), you can find Dr. B reading "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss OVER AND OVER again to her son, per his request!!! She also reads books about, and discusses planes with her son on a daily basis. :)

Dr. Brandwajn has many pets: Cassie, a 13 year old female Pit Bull who is sweet as pie; Merlin, a 7 year old  Border Collie/German Shepherd mix who obsesses about tennis balls and other flying objects; Sedona, a 2 year old French Mastiff (Turner and Hooch dog) who thinks she is a lap dog; Spooky, her huge black cat who thinks he is a dog, and Athena and Diana, her two box turtles (we are not sure what they think). Dr. Brandwajn enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, as well as doing rescue work with animals.

Lisa McWilliams

Lisa has been working at Frontier Pet Clinic for a little over 5 years and is enjoying all the new and exciting things that have taken place since Dr. Brandwajn has taken over the practice.  One of the best parts of the job for Lisa is getting to know the clients and their families.  Lisa's own family includes her husband, Fred and their three daughters, busy, young adults; Megan, Caitlin and Molly. The other family members include four dogs, three of which are Labradors- Annie 9, Nate 4 (a retired guide dog they raised) and Lotus 'Lola' 6 months. The ring leader of the group is Tootsie Roll the petite Basset Hound who is 10. Two Zebra Finches, Carmen and Louis, a Guinea Pig, Neville (from Harry Potter) and Mabel, a long haired demanding kitty.  The barn animals include two Quarter horses, Chic and Hermie along with a hen house of chickens who lay delicious green and blue eggs.  Certain times of the year include 4-H project animals- sheep! In her spare time Lisa enjoys cooking, gardening, boating and camping at the beach.  Lisa recently accepted a amangement position at a catering company in Napa, and does consulting work for FPC on a regular basis.

Mary is very passionate about veterinary medicine and has been working in the field for the last 11 years. She has been a Registered technician for the past 4 years and graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM degree in June 2007. The majority of her time is spent studying and learning everything she can about veterinary medicine both at school and by working with great mentors such as Dr. Brandwajn. Originally from the Chicago, IL area, she takes advantage of the beautiful scenery and weather that California has to offer by hiking, camping, and backpacking every chance she can. She lives in Davis with her boyfriend and 3 cats: Maverick- a brown tabby; Maneki Neko- a 3 legged black cat; and Chistery- a fluffy little 1 year old tabby.

The senior citizen of the group is Socio, a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd cross and he is 13! The felines total 6 and are called, Perdita, George, Hunter, Callie, Sterling and Missy. Giovanni helped to raise these kitties as they were born at home. In Catie's spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, walking the dogs and reading with Giovanni, who is learning to read himself!
